Is it just me or do marriages seem like a joke?!

I have noticed more and more lately that people get married and soon after are no longer together. People have affairs like it is their job and it disgusts me. From very personal experience I know how much an affair can affect your family. It is a horrible thing and people that take part in one are just a disgrace to society. When you get married you make vows to each other, why don't people learn to follow them. It frustrates me. My parents got divorced 2 years ago and it was horrible but I realized my parents are better off as friends and that's okay they were married for 21 years before they divorced. Some people are married for a few months or even days when they realize they can no longer be married to that person. Makes me nervous to even get married in the first place, everyone wishes they could meet "the one" and live a long happy life but is "the one" really out there now a days. Maybe for some.

I just think that people look at marriage as buying a car. They get their new car and it's a beauty but after a while it gets wore down and rusty and you go out to the lot and get yourself a new car.

  1. I agree with you but I don't think they are a disgrace to society every society has its bads and goods. I think we are in a age where people get bored and so cheat. But i agree that if someone said vows they should abide by them
